Renewable energy for the home has long been thought of as being the best option for the environment, yet far too few people actually take it up. This can be a big mistake. With carbon emissions on the rise it’s essential that we look out for the environment in our daily endeavours, and now there’s even an added incentive – reducing our carbon footprint can not only help the environment, but it can cut down our energy bills as well.

By opting for renewable energy sources such as solar panels or ground source heat pumps you can enjoy fantastic savings on your energy bills, and because you’re not at the mercy of oil companies you can be confident that your bills won’t suddenly sky rocket should they decide to change their prices. You can become totally self-sufficient and can drastically cut down your carbon footprint as well, and don’t worry about the initial cost of installation – although this can put some people off, the savings that you’ll make will be well worth it.

So, if you want to save cash whilst saving the environment make sure to choose renewable energy for the home. If you make the switch you’ll drastically cut down your energy bills whilst being safe in the knowledge that you’re doing your bit to help protect the environment for generations to come, so make sure to bear it in mind and come to us for all the advice you could need and you’ll soon see ways you can save some cash.

An expert advises that when business is not good, advertise and when business is good, advertise. Mathis Brothers recognized the importance of advertisement in their business and have used it to the fullest since they started in 1955. They launched a variety show called, Country Social, with the purpose of giving amusement to the people of Oklahoma. The show drew a number of the famous stars that era which includes George Jones, Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline and Merle Haggard. This has given Mathis Brother enormous publicity. They have entertained the people and at the same time brought sales to their company.

Changing with times, Mathis Brothers then made use of tri-media advertisement. They put up advertisements on television and newspapers. Bill and Larry’s early exposure to the business have understood all the facets of the industry so they know the advantages of using media in letting people know what they offer.

With the fast innovation of technology, Mathis Brothers also used this to their full advantage. A well-designed and comprehensive website with customers in mind, it is like walking into their store virtually. It also offers many helps like online shopping, virtual design center, online payment system and online credit approval. You can also find their name in almost any advertising site in the web be it Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and many others. Many articles about them were also written and can be browsed through the net. Sensibly utilizing the modern technology can bring much financial advantages to a business.

Is carpooling good?

Its very nice to write something about carpooling. This concept is getting popular day by day as it has become need of hour for all of us to share car / van / Taxi / Auto or any four wheeler journey to meet the rising fuel price, traffic congestions and air pollution.
No doubt , Govt of all countries is working very hard to fight against traffic problem by widening roads and making flyovers but the most important two facts which we all need to understand are:- First, there is a limit to widening Roads and making flyovers and thereafter we cannot widen roads or make flyovers. Second , there is no limit to increasing vehicles. Delhi is getting roughly 1000 new four wheelers on road everyday and this number will increase once low cost cars like Tata Nano are introduced to the market. Can we imagine traffic on roads after 1 year? Apart from increasing road capacity of handling traffic, we have to start thing about reducing traffic of the roads too. www.Poolmycar.in is doing efforts in direction of reducing traffic by pooling car other travelers.

Normally vehicle’s have fuel efficiency of 10 KM/L. If a vehicle runs 20,000 km/year , this means , it will consume 2000 L fuel in one year. Burning 1 L of petrol emits 2.5 kg of carbon dioxide. Thus the vehicle will emit about 5000 kg of CO2 in one year. An average mature tree can absorb about 4.5-5 kg carbon dioxide per year. Thus we need about 1000 mature trees to absorb the pollution (carbon dioxide) emitted by one car. If a single car is pooled, this could reduce four cars from the road which is equal to growing more than 4000 trees
We all do expect a lot from government in terms of reducing traffic and do something for reducing pollutions too but the question arises that do we understand our responsibilities? While driving to office in the morning, if you have look on all car’s near by your car’s, you will find that each car is carrying only one passenger. If these all people understand concept of carpooling, this number of cars can be reduced to one fifth as each one which was carrying one passenger, will be carrying 5 passengers. I asked few people if given a chance, will they refer carpooling? I got different answers. Some people said they will definitely like this option. Some people said they will definitely welcome this concept but with some terms and conditions like who will take responsibility of security? Some people said they need a good resource to find a right person to pool with. Some people were just willing to pool with people of there own organization. To make carpooling viable one of website, www.poolmycar.in , has taken care of all these security concerns. This website offers corporate carpooling instead of normal car pooling. This has a system of employee code verification which makes it a secure car pooling website. This website acts like a personal internal website for any company which gets registered on this website. Most of corporate have hundreds of employees who have cars. If these entire employees come together and decide to save environment, I am pretty sure that traffic can be drastically reduced. We have to educate people about this carpooling concept and also request companies to promote this. Promotion of this concept will be beneficial to everyone who breaths air and live on Planet Earth.

It is true that paper, metal, wood or plastic are definitely the first items that come to one’s mind when talking about recycling, but there are other items, just as numerous that could be re-used in the most profitable and environment-friendly of ways. One clear case here refers to the ways we can recycle fabrics. Have you been wondering about what to do with those old t-shirts or blouses you no longer use? Well there are a few tips about how to recycle fabrics and thus contribute to the international effort of finally cleaning the waste on this planet. If they cannot be sold in charity shops there are other ways to reuse and recycle fabrics.

T-shirts could make excellent material for the creation of funny bags; there are even cases when people have used such apparel items to create bathmats or even flares. Another unique way to recycle fabrics of the kind is by cutting them into strips and weaving or knitting them in very trendy rugs to be used in certain house corners. Furthermore, you can even find tips about how to make memory quilts out of old t-shirts you purchased at special occasions. Creativity is definitely one of the strong points required in the effort to recycle fabrics.

Let’s take another relevant example of how you can recycle fabrics from drapes or curtains. At a certain point you will definitely want to change the house decorations and will find yourself in the situation of having too much unused material. There are plenty of ways to recycle fabrics from drapes or curtains: depending on how thick the texture really is, you could actually re-use them for upholstery items. If you cannot recycle the material on your own, you can turn to people who actually do it for a living, as part of small home-businesses.

Exquisite pillow casings can be made out of the recycle fabrics you have got around the house; all you need to do is show a little dexterity. Or you may choose to have someone else help you with the project; keep in mind the fact that reusing such material has become so popular that even fashion designers have taken up the practice. There are even companies that collect used clothes: all you have to do is clean and bag your recycle fabrics and drop them at a special collecting agency. Such actions are supported by local governments who allocate funds so that the recycling be carried on in the most adequate of conditions.

Pretty much everyone these days knows how environmentalists feel about SUVs and other large, inefficient vehicles. Many of them are used mostly to transport just one person, despite their ability to hold far more people. But even far smaller vehicles are not used terribly efficiently.

Much of this is due simply to the fact that few people live in a situation where carpooling is an easy enough option. Carpooling is a great idea, but it’s very hard to find a good carpool. You often don’t live near enough a coworker for this to be possible, never mind someone who drives close enough to your own job.

Many cities have terrible public transportation. I live in such an area myself. People don’t like to ride buses and such because it takes such an extraordinarily long time to get a lot of places. That’s not true in all places, but in enough of them.

Rising gas prices have made everyone more aware of how much driving costs. More people have been thinking about how much they drive and what they drive.

Cutting back on driving is difficult, but it can be done. I speak from experience, having spent the past several months having only one car between my husband and myself. It’s tough, but possible for us as I work at home.

One of the big changes you can make to improve your driving habits is to get more efficient about running errands. If the store is close enough, walk or ride a bike. If not, make sure that you take care of your errands efficiently. Combine errands, make lists so that you don’t forget anything and need to run back. Little things like that can make your driving habits more friendly to the environment.

Beyond errands, you can think about ways you can use your car less. If your employer has a telecommuting program, see if you can participate. Even working from home one day a week will make a difference.

Look actively for a carpool. Yes, it can be hard, especially since it makes going out for lunch harder, but it makes quite a bit of sense on both the environmental and the financial level.

If your area has a great public transportation system, why not take advantage of it? A good system doesn’t take forever for you to get to work, and can save you the stress of driving yourself.

Changing your driving habits for the better is one of the little things you can do for the environment. It’s not one of the easiest things, and generally means accepting some inconvenience, but it can also help you save money. The combined benefits make such efforts very much worthwhile.

The green movement has reached the home loan industry in the form of green home loans. With everyone moving towards products that are eco friendly, there is a movement towards making efforts to ensure that people save on non renewable energy sourced and look at options that are greener. And green home loans are a great way to ensure that individual homes also use renewable energy sources to power up their homes.

Since the initial cost of installing units that help in harnessing renewable energy, people are generally unwilling to spend that extra amount of money. Green home loans gives that extra push to people to make that investment due to the rebates that they can expect if they opt for green homes or install solar panels or use green appliances at home.

If you buy or build a sustainable house, the interest rate that you can expect with green home loans is likely to be lower. Some of the sustainable products that you may have to invest in include solar hot water, rainwater tanks and other water and energy savings equipment. Opting for a sustainable home, helps you in getting a lower rate with green home loans and also saves you money on utility bills too.

To give you an idea of what savings you can expect, consider a 0.25% rebate on green home loans on a $300,000 loan for 25 years. You can stand to save more than $14,000 over the life of the loan. This reduction easily covers up for the extra cost of energy savings units like solar panels and the like.

With growing pressure on the environment and the need for the nation to economise, it’s now more important than ever to conserve and reuse packaging.

Reusing packaging is the best form of recycling, because it doesn’t require further use of energy, either in converting or transporting the packaging prior to use.

As a specialist packaging supplies company we believe we have a duty to encourage Customers to give greater thought to the packaging they buy and make better use of the packaging materials they retain.

As a packaging supplier, does this mean fewer sales of packaging materials? On the contrary, we’re finding that Customers are more conscious about packaging generally and are more comfortable ordering packaging materials from a supplier that:

• Understands the Customers’ needs and is able to work to reduce their carbon footprint and support their sustainable environmental policy

• Offers environmentally better packaging, such as recycled, reusable and degradable packaging products

• Advises them on ways to economise on packaging and reduce the overall weight of packaging materials used

So whether you’re looking to save money or save the planet, buying the right packaging for the job, planning ahead for its re-use and using recycled packaging materials are some of the key steps to take.

The most important part of this cycle of recycled cardboard boxes is you the buyer. Without people willing to buy recycled cardboard boxes it would just end up in landfill. So make sure when you next buy packaging you ask for recycled packaging.

With this in mind, read our top 10 tips to reuse some of your packaging, save on packaging costs and also help the environment:

Make sure your packaging doesn’t cost the earth! For further information, visit http://www.davpack.co.uk or call Davpack on 01332 821200.

If you want to save the environment, it is a good idea to build green. Many estate agents will at least have one green project in their portfolio as green projects are gaining importance and more and more people are nowadays opting for green homes and businesses green properties. Building green properties like green homes and commercial establishments doesn’t necessarily be expensive. In fact, green properties are cheaper to build and save you a lot in the long run.

People still think going green needs substantial amount of investment. This myth is partially created by those who build green homes extravagantly. But green homes are cheaper to build as green products are cheaper than normal products. Intuitive green heating systems, a great design and anything luxury is only going to cost you more no matter whether you are building green or not. If you employ green products that are not too expensive, you are sure going to save a lot of cash. Most importantly, green products will save more in the long run.

Green electrical appliances relatively consume less power than their non-green counterparts. By using green appliances you can save more than 30% in your energy bills. Green houses also tend to be built air tight with proper insulation. This, combined with green appliances can even reduce power wastage in green houses and commercial establishments.

Tax rebates can be availed for many green products. Governments are offering tax rebates for different energy efficient products. They are both cheap as they are tax free or carry less tax and consume less power so that they save a lot of money. When planning your green home, you have to do a thorough research on green products available and see if you can get all items at a good deal.

Feed-in tariff is also a good way to make your home greener while making extra income. You can install microgeneration capacity in your property and use that energy to power your house or apartment. If you have more capacity, you can pump it back to National Grid and you will be paid for it. There are different means of microgeneration including solar panels. You can choose whichever you want depending on your budget. By producing renewable energy, you not only power your home, but also save lots of energy from National Grid.

Going green is an excellent way to conserve energy and preserve the environment if you are interested in building green properties or green homes, you don’t necessarily have to have a huge budget. Exploit all the opportunities to make your budget even cheaper.

Everywhere you turn nowadays, you always hear about venturing into entrepreneurship. But what is entrepreneurship exactly? It is actually defined as the process wherein a group or an individual makes an effort to pursue opportunities to satisfy needs and wants through uniqueness and innovation. Some people have the misconception that entrepreneurs are gamblers in the sense that they take risks and invest in industries that have no record of success. However, the truth is, these entrepreneurs take calculated risks that have the potential to provide them with huge returns.

The key factors you need to remember about entrepreneurship are opportunities, innovation, and growth. An entrepreneur sees opportunities in environmental trends and changes that nobody has seen before and pursues this opportunity with whatever resources he has at hand. The second theme in entrepreneurship is innovation which involves transforming and revolutionizing existing products or services to cope up with the changing global environment. The third theme is growth; this involves the continual efforts of an entrepreneur to expand his business locally and internationally. An entrepreneur is on the constant look out on how to create new approaches to make his business grow and become a huge success.

These themes are the key factors which businesses are founded upon. The largest corporations you find today did not start out big, rather they started out as small enterprises by visionaries who want more than what is offered to them. You can see from the history of some of the most successful business today that the founders of these businesses have taken great leaps of faith and incredible amounts of risks in order to be what they are today. Wherever you turn, you see the results of entrepreneurship. But it is most obvious in internet commerce because this is a new industry. People that were unheard of before are becoming some of the riches names in the world and it is all because they have taken risks and have succeeded. So whether we realize it or not, it is the entrepreneurs who drive the global environment nowadays. They are the ones who are always seeking out opportunities and taking risks to improve our world and profit from it in return.

The business environment and even the technological advancements that are available today would not have been possible if these entrepreneurs did not come out of their comfort zone to invest in the development of these businesses. As you can see, having the entrepreneurial spirit is definitely necessary for businesses to reach greater heights and provide better and faster products and services to their clients. It is no wonder then that a lot of business enterprises are hiring young and dynamic individuals with a vision and who are not afraid to take calculated risks to ensure the survival of the business tomorrow.
