THX GOD NO ONE DIED. I live in leamington and there was little to no warning. a tree went down behind my house, close to my daughters window. i live less than a block away from where some of this footage was taken. right by shoeless joe’s. Now my family hides in the basement during rainstorms. Leamington should really feel blessed, with the reports of wind speeds.

Did not have the heart to watch the destruction of my home town til today. Pictures alone were hard enough to view. When you know these streets, these highways, these people, it is so painful to watch.

I live in Cottam Ontario, and my school is just a little bit down the road in the opposite direction from Leamington, and theres were a couple small and medium sized branches by the fence of the school yard.
Oddly enough, when I saw the cars all smashed up, I was sad about the trees.
Hopefully the trees were the only casualties.
WHAT!!!!! Are you kidding! Small Tomato town got hit by a tornado!?!?! That’s ridiculous!! I wonder what became of Grandma’s gazebo. All of this looks way too familiar. I can’t believe it. May ALLAH Almighty bring peace to the residents and give them blessings and strength in this difficult time. You’re all in my prayers. Peace be with you.
@laurierken I live in heritage estates by the cemitery where do you live?
Hang in there, Leamington. Better days ahead. All the best from LaSalle, Ontario.
so sad:( it is hard to believe this happened..I was just in the area where it was affected just a few days before this happened..I cant even hardly recognize the town anymore..it is sad because like these trees are over 100 years old and now they are dead.I am in the area now and I drove by the effected area..cant believe this.
I live in Essex, and I am surprised we didnt get hit at all, we just hada gust of wind that took some shingles off and signs toppling, but wow .
It’s unbelievable that no one was hurt, thank goodness.
Hope everyone in and around Leamington have speedy recovery to their normality. Excellent coverage by @EssexCountyNews. You did really good job showing the true extent of the damage. Better than any other media outlet.
Such a touching video
Glad none of my family was affected by the tornado. My heart goes out to the people who are affected by it.
