@CalyxAsgard – changes? No ….
‘Tempora mutantur, et nos mutamur in illis
Except .. we don’t have to change much for this to be relevant today. Especially the Yes PM opinion polls bit …
I wish they could do a contemporary version of this show, using much of the same type of humour but showing how politics has both changed and stayed much the same way. The problem is finding the right actors and writers for such a series.
My wife works on staff at our local city government. As we watch this series, we’re rollin’ on the floor laughing and I always ask her: “is that what’s happening here, too?” Answer is always: Yes.
A 30 year old series and nothing’s changed… is it any wonder that people don’t trust the government?
The funniest thing is that it is all true.
u should change your name to almost the brightside of life lol…joke, please dont take offence
Brilliant writing.
Haha…”certain informal guidelines”. This was not only true during the 60’s and the 70’s, it is like this today as well, the series is an evergreen
‘… taken from the Arts and given to ordinary people… to enjoy themselves!’
very good sketch. Not entirely accurate.
And are they? I mean the masses…
Scores of them.
when he is a MP for a working class constituency and needs their votes….
Go peddle your loony ideas on a more relevant forum – maybe people will read and take heed – not just recognise you for the credulous cretin you are and spam-mark you into oblivion.
Oh dear. Thinking Little Britain’s funny should be an officially recognised indicator of mental illness
just kidding, ofc i don’t agree with this bobdylan guy =)
You’d be surprised how true this was during the 60s and 70s.
Pretentious? moi?
a matter of taste, stop acting like a pretentious jerk
Coming from someone who thinks Little Britain is funny… stick to comedy for 8 year olds.
But did they have a Sir Humphrey???
It’s very, very close to what really happens–and not only in Britain. The same thing happens here in the U.S. and, I would venture, throughout human history. If you read the history of imperial China, it’s filled with stories of eunuchs and civil servants manipulating emperors for their own purposes.
not funny
I wonder how close to the truth this actually is?
This is very good, but so is Chirs Morris
Best most intelligently written TV show ever agree with you
