These liners work great to use in our kitchen composting container. When they’re full, I just take it out to the larger bin and my container is clean and ready to be refilled.

I use this to line the compost collection can I keep under the sink or I use one when I am doing a big cooking project to gather compostable items. If I let things set in the bag more than 5 days the bags start to leak as they start to break down. And breaking down is what I want them to do as I put them into my compost bin. Even in winter I notice that they start breaking down rather quickly. I am sure by spring when I am ready to use my compost these bags will be fully intergrated into my compost.

I bought these because I could only find the 33 gallon Husky EcoGuard Lawn & Leaf bags locally. While they are somewhat thinner than the EcoGuard, they do get the job done. For the $9.99 price at the time, I was able to purchase 25 of these 2.5 gallon bags for a little more than the price of 10 of the larger bags available locally.

The way I understand it, these bags are biodegradable in your “municipality” and take anywhere from 9 to 24 weeks. I not sure if this is made for home compost use (taking a long time to decompose). If your getting them for your “garbage pick-up” and not pressed for time, these will be great!
