Even Prevention Magazine is saying not to use these bulbs because of radiation exposure. See the January 2010 issue or go to website and type: CALIFORNIA CLUSTER in the Keyword Search box and then read “Is Dirty Electricity Making You Sick.” They have a HUGE amount of info on this and it will scare you out of your mind. They say “Avoid compact fluorescent bulbs, which emit dirty electricity. A CFL saves energy by turning itself on and off repeatedly, as many as 100,000 times per second.”

you forgot to tell that coal contais much more mercury than cfl, so if you use an incandescent lamp you will put much more mercury in the enveirroment than an broken cfl.
Typical Republicans, they need instructions on how to be careful changing a lightbulb. If you cannot handle putting in a cfl, maybe you should stick to using only the dirty old bulb. Stay in the dark ages fools. We will enjoy lower energy bills ha.

Are people simply not aware or are they forgetting that these CFL’s are also full of mercury – one of the most toxic heavy metals if you come in contact with it. If you break one of these bulbs your chances of mercury toxicity are very high. Green? Ya, right! Maybe better for the environment in a sense that they use less electricity but what about having these bulbs in your house with your family?? Like I said, if they break you are exposing your family & pets to heavy metal toxicity.
Dont even entertain these poisons.
Don’t get too close to the bulbs? I say don’t buy them at all. This is outrageous, they’re advertising being eco-friendly but the bulbs are anything but eco-friendly to humans or the environment. Thank you for uploading this.
THose bulbs can posibly hurt you, what about all the TUBE florescent buds you spend hours in public as they BOMB your body, no one has had anything from those and they are worse,, this is stuff isnt true no way

Their are LED bulbs which are safe. Their more expensive but on the long run they pay for themselves. LED bulbs save even more electricity than CFL bulbs and last longer. Hence way better. Their some brands that can even last 11 years.
